The kid was deep underground. The Kid mentions that ‘he has waited 27 years for Henry’. 27 Years is the number of years It sleeps in order to wake up and causing death and destruction, causing people to act violently. But It torments Derry, and it would be strange if he suddenly also shows up in Castle Rock. So it would be too complicated if The Kid actually was It. But he could be an entity just like It, another Twinner from one of the other guardians.
